Trevor White

President
& CEO

Trevor is the co-founder of SWITCH Power and former Vice President of Business Development at CWL Energy Management where he created, developed, and led their Renewables Business Unit (now SWITCH Power). Trevor has 6 years of broad experience in the renewable power and oil and gas industry, with exposures in business and project development, M&A, commercial and financing. Trevor holds a commerce degree, is a business development and corporate strategy professional and a 2010 Olympian in the sport of Alpine. Trevor is responsible for planning, corporate strategy, and governance, with a focus on business development, and is responsible for day-to-day operations, resource management, and related management decisions and strategies.

Cory St. Croix

Vice President, Legal, Commercial and Community

Cory has more than 20 years of broad commercial energy experience, spanning multiple provinces and states. He holds a science degree in Applied Mathematics from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and a law degree from the University of New Brunswick. After practicing corporate commercial law privately and in-house for several years, he embarked on a 10-year career in business development with a number of large cap energy companies. During this time, he helped create the first Alberta power auction and negotiated uniquely structured commodity contracts. His experience structuring partnerships and complex commercial transactions will be an asset in executing SWITCH’s goal of creating sustainable power solutions. Cory is responsible for legal, commercial and community endeavors, as well as building meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.   

Claude Mindorff

Vice President, Business & Project Development

Claude brings over 31 years of energy and construction expertise and has been active in the renewable energy industry for 19 years. He has led the establishment of 4 wind development companies that have created portfolios in Ontario, Alberta, California and Illinois, totalling 1,800MW. He has held senior positions in global Independent Power Producers overseeing M&A and project and portfolio development in excess of 4GW throughout North America, of which 700MW are in operation today. Claude supported the inception and growth of CWL Energy Management’s initial power portfolio (now SWITCH Power). He is responsible for supporting business development and project origination, technical development and market strategy, as well as overseeing project development.

Ria Fitzgerald

Director, Market & Investment Development

Ria has more than 16 years of finance and investment development experience in the mining and infrastructure sectors. She holds a commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She started her career in investment banking and was involved in over 100 equity financings, mainly for mining companies across a range of commodities and global operations. Afterwards, she worked in corporate development for mining companies with a focus on acquisition due diligence and analysis. Most recently, Ria was involved in investment development and project financing in the renewable power and infrastructure sectors, including Public Private Partnerships, leading a consortium for the financing, design, build, operations and maintenance of major infrastructure projects in Canada. Ria is responsible for business development in the mining and remote community sectors and supporting financing and transaction activities within both.

Brian Norgaard

Senior Manager, Commercial & Regulatory

Brian has more than 16 years of commercial experience in power, gas and environmental commodities, including contract negotiation, relationship management and risk and opportunity assessment. He holds a commerce degree from the University of Calgary and has experience mentoring and coaching direct reports, new grads and operators, including field and office staff, over a period of 10 years. His knowledge and experience navigating and understanding the regulatory frameworks that impact the power industry are invaluable to our team and will help SWITCH execute the projects in our development pipeline. Brian is responsible for originating, creating and negotiating commercial solutions, agreements and ensuring their regulatory compliance.

Brian Petersen, CFA

Managing Director 

President, Thunderstone Capital 

Mr. Petersen is a senior investment and merchant banker, and consultant with a successful track record of origination and execution of capital market transactions. His experience includes over 60 M&A and advisory assignments totaling more than $25 billion, over $22 billion of debt and equity financing and 16 years with RBC Capital Markets in Calgary, Houston and Toronto. He is on the Board of Trustees of Northwest Healthcare REIT, and a member of the Major Donor Committee of the United Way. 

Jarvis Nicoll

Director 

President, Cardon Group 

Jarvis Nicoll is the co-founder and President of the CARDON group, and the acting President of one of its subsidiary companies CWL Energy Management. Jarvis manages CARDON Capital, the investment arm of the CARDON group, where he oversees several equity investments, and oversees the growth opportunities for their capital portfolio. 

Doug Bedard

Director 

CEO, Cardon Group 

Doug is the co-founder and CEO of the CARDON group and acting CEO of two of its subsidiary companies Canada West Land and H3M Environmental. Doug has 15 years’ experience in the agricultural and oil and gas sector in executive management, operations, and business development, and manages the arm overseeing CARDON’s operating companies.
